Research group for the [re]cognition of built and landscaped heritage

The group is primarily dedicated to the elaboration of architectural historical studies and recommendations for interventions, through archival research, photographic documentation, surveying and diagnosis of built and landscaped heritage. It is also concerned with built heritage interpretation and communication through exhibitions, conferences, publications, or guided tours.

Grupul este preponderent dedicat elaborării studilor istorice arhitecturale și recomandărilor pentru intervenții, bazate pe cercetare arhivistică, documentare fotografică, topografică și diagnoza patrimoniului construit și amenajat. Totodată, grupul se preocupă de interpretarea și comunicarea patrimoniului construit prin expoziții, conferințe, publicații sau tururi ghidate.

2022 - on-going: Documentation of recent good practice in urbanism. The Art of Urban Design. A critical catalogue of post-industrial regeneration in the work of Marcel Smets / Arta proiectului urban. Catalog critic de regenerare postindustrială în practica lui Marcel Smets - catalogue of the itinerant exhibit first organised at Cluj in 2023, in partnership with the contemporary art organisation Centrul de Interes. Coordinators: Cristina Purcar, Andreea Milea. Subsequent itinerations: Brașov, Sept. 2024, TU Graz, March 2025.

2022 - on-going: Restoration and recording activities of Debreczeni László. Coordinator: Imola Kirizsan.

2022 - on-going: Documentation and critical analysis of rural architectural and environmental heritage. Coordinators: Virgil Pop, Andreea Milea. Researcher: Verona Musteață.

2022 - on-going: Documentation of recent good practice in urbanism. Urban renewal through the landscape- and heritage-sensitive regeneration of former industrial and infrastructural sites, 2022-2024. 2014 - on-going: Historical parks of Transylvania. Field research, sources and documents research, publishing studies, (including recommendations for interventions). Coordinator: Andreea Milea.
